I’m mountain obsessed.
The other week I set out to recreate some of my favourite mountains in Illustrator. After musing over Serles (out my window) I decided to use a limited palette to trace the colours and shadows of the mountains. This was the outcome.
It was a really great exercise in using texture, layout, and negative space. I couldn’t be happier with the typeface I found for the project as well.
I started with a sampling, from Canada, Japan, and Austria, but in the future I might revisit this with a few other favourites I’ve found on my travels.
The mockup I used in the header image is from one of my favourite sites for resources, Graphicburger.
