Clontarf Sunrises

Wintertime in Ireland can be especially dreary. The mornings are usually overcast and foggy, and thanks to the coastal climate the days are bone-chillingly cold.

In the winter of 18/19, I lived in Clontarf, Dublin. I was about a 5-minute walk away from the promenade running along the north side of Dublin Bay. To make the most of the shorter days I tried to wake up early brew a coffee and see if I could catch a sunrise.

Most of the time it was foggy and wet, but some of the days made it worth it.
